GENERAL SUMMARY:

We are seeking a qualified Machine Shop Coordinator to support the implementation and enforcement of environmental, health, and safety programs within Oil City Iron Works, Inc., an iron foundry. This position works under the direction of the Machine Shop Supervisor to promote a safe work environment, assist the Machine Shop Supervisor in daily Machine Shop tasks, and support continuous improvement of machine shop performance during operations.

Additionally, this position will work closely with production supervisors, maintenance personnel, and department managers to ensure products are processed effectively through all manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with Machine Shop Supervisor
• Communication with Plant Manager
• Communication with Production Control
• Communication with Sales
• Order Tooling – Approved by Machine Shop Supervisor
• Input Daily Heat Sheets in Schedule
• Input POs into Machine Shop Schedule
• Organize Shop Work Order Packets together per Machine Shop Supervisor
• Physically transfer parts to Shipping
• Generate Transfer Tickets
• Inventory in coming castings – in Schedule
• Generate Machine Shop Scrap Reports
• Coordinate with QA to pick up Scrap
• Participate in Customer updates/calls
• Send Inspection Reports to Customers
• Learn and operate the CMM
• Answering phone calls
• Generate and communicate WIP Report with Machine Shop Supervisor
• Communicate Transfer Hours with Accounting
• Generate Requisitions
• Help in Shop as needed
