CLASS "B" MECHANIC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES         
- Perform repairs, maintenance and preventive maintenance of plant equipment to include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic.        
- Report to Maintenance Supervisor conditions observed for evaluation and scheduling.        
- Assist Class "A" Mechanic in troubleshoot equipment breakdown, determine the failure and make proper repair.        
- Perform repeated breakdown repairs.        
- Perform cuts and welds when necessary.        
- Wear prescribed safety equipment and observe safety policies.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES         
- Must have personal hand tools as required.        
- Must have working knowledge of cutting and welding.        
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others.        
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a continuous basis.        

WORKING CONDITIONS         
- Foundry Environment.        
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.        
- Exposure to high noise levels.        
- Exposure to dirt and fumes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE         
- High School Diploma/GED preferred

GENERAL FOUNDRY

We have General Foundry positions for new hires joining the company.  Individuals hired will be assigned to a production department to train and acquire the necessary skills and work pace.  The positions often require weekend work and/or mandatory overtime.  All General Foundry positions are considered to be heavy industrial, and are repetitive in nature. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successfully complete safety training, and demonstrate ability to comply with departmental safety policy and guidelines.
Demonstrate ability to utilize process control documents.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain a work pace consistent with the company s goal of the on time delivery.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Operating hand tools, machines and other equipment.
Visually inspect products for defects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule
